

Margarita was born in Havana, Cuba on February 16, 1922, the youngest of six children. She passed away at home, under hospice care, on March 3, 2023 in Miami, Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Alberto Armando Alejandre (2003) and her son, Armando Alejandre, Jr,. who died at the hands of the Cuban government when he and three other men were shot down over the Florida Straits, while on a search and rescue mission for ‘balseros’ on February 24, 1996.
Her daughters Maggie Alejandre Khuly, Cristina Alejandre, Ana Alejandre Ciereszko; her daughter-in-law Marlene Alejandre Fernandez; her son-in-law Jorge Khuly; her grandchildren Jorge Alberto Khuly and Lourdes Fernandez, Patricia Khuly and Brian Russell, Cristina Khuly and Douglas Eger, Cristi and Benny Carmona, Alejandro and Kristine Gonzalez, Lee Ciereszko and Emily Wengrovius, Thomas and Fern Ciereszko, Marlene Alejandre-Triana and Albert Triana; great grandchildren Armando Maximilian Killingsworth, Erin and Gabriel Khuly, Lily, Marianna and Adrian Carmona, Nina and Danny Gonzalez, Stanley and Johnny Ciereszko, Abby and Sara Ciereszko, Gabriella, Julianne, and Sofia Triana; many nephews and nieces and their descendants and other relatives are thankful for prayers at this difficult time.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 7377 SW 64 Street, on Friday, March 10 at 11:30 am . A private burial ceremony at Miami Memorial Park, 6200 SW 77 Avenue, will follow the funeral mass.
