May God welcome and protect her soul in all his worlds.  My mom is the same age August 11, 1928.  They could have been twins.

Dear Frank, Larry,and family, we are truly blessed to have had Pilar & Marcelino be part of our family's fond memories. Pilar's grace and dignity were ever present as was her  pride in her family & heritage.   Ws especially enjoyed talking to her about  family, religion, politics, her playing our piano and sharing an eggnog.  May God bless you and keep you,

Pilar was a true expression of love....from her sparkling eyes, to her smile, limited English and hand gestures.  I didn't always understand some of her stories but she brought them to life and English or not....we were able to communicate.  I am proud to have known her and even prouder that she considered me a friend.  Thinking of the family today.  Much love.

Frank and Larry, my deepest condolences.  My strongest memories of Tata was when we lived together at your house, after having moved to Miami from Texas.  I always felt welcomed by her and miss her.  I am happy that I got to see her in Virginia a few months back.  She is in a better place now; rest her soul.

From her piano playing stories, stories about Cuba and her immigration experience to Miami, to her words like: "guanaja" and  "Ay mi madre"...Pilar was like a grandmother to me. I cared for her, took her shopping, took her out to eat, took her to the doctors office, took her to get her hair and nails done...every experience was wonderful, funny and memorable. I remember when I took her to my house 2 Christmas' ago...we had so much fun with her. We played old Christmas carols. She danced and we got her to eat! She talked about her family frequently. She loved her sons and grandchildren and daughter in laws and all of her family. She missed Cuba. Sharing her friendship over the last 3.5 years has truly been a blessing to my life. Knowing her and Frank, Molly and their precious children has been a blessing in my life. Larry, Stephanie, Franco, Mollie and family,
I always got the biggest kick hearing stories about your mom and her adventures when she stayed with you.  And listening to what she was cooking made my mouth water.  She was a beautiful woman on the outside and inside.
Her memory is held dear by her family and friends.

Pancho & Larry, your Mom was very special to me. I spent many years at the piano with her, she was very talented and I will never forget how beautifully she played and how patient she was as a teacher.  You guys are like brothers to me and I grieve along with you for her loss.  I will pray for her soul and for God to comfort you during this most difficult loss.

Pilar was a wonderful lady, and although I didn't know any Spanish, we were able to somehow talk about music. I will never forget the time that we listened to Chopin together, and the way she was taken by the music. The sound seemed to have taken her to a whole different world. May she rest in peace.

I am very sorry of your mother's passing. I always enjoyed seeing Tata and loved to watch her play piano and interract with my grandfather. I'm really glad that she was able to spend her final years in Virginia with her sons. I will be praying for both of you and look forward to the next time I get to see you.

Larry and Frank, I want to express my deepest condolences in this very sad occasion. Tata was a great mother, sister and daughter.  I remember her fondly and loved that she was always in a good mood. I will miss her tremendously.

Pilar was a sweet, gentle woman, and I enjoyed spending time with her and speaking with her. I know she is at peace and that her soul is liberated like no other. God bless you, Pilar.
