I am so very sad and shocked to read today of Maria Clara's passing. I took several of her computer classes as an adjunct faculty member and later administrator at FIU. She was always patient, kind, warm and friendly. Maria Clara had a great sense of humor and we always greeted one another warmly on our campus travels.
Again, I am so very sorry for your loss. 
May her memory be a blessing for us all.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to you all. I couldn't believe it when I got the email of Clara's passing; such a sweet loving soul.  All I can remember is her smile and willingness to lend a hand. May God bless her soul and receive her into his kingdom.  May He grant you all the strength and peace needed to continue to move forward in knowing that she lives on in each of your hearts.

Maria Clara was always Clara to me. I first met Clara in a training class at FIU. She was always so patient and helpful. When the Training team joined my group, I was excited to be able to work more directly with Clara. I loved hearing stories about her family. She was so proud of you  all. I am truly blessed for having known Clara. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked at FIU and retired in 2019. While at FIU I took several technology classes with Maria. I was so impressed with her technology knowledge.  She was so patient and kind. I am so sorry for your loss, she was a lovely lady.

I worked with Maria Clara many years ago and took some of her computer classes.  She was always so helpful and cheerful.  I saw her a few times after I left that dept and we always had such a good talk.  So sorry to hear of her passing.

I am so sorry for your loss of Maria Clara.  I hope it comforts you to know that she will live on in the memories of those who worked with her and were helped by her in her years of service in FIU's Division of IT.    Clara was a dedicated and hard-working person who always  found something to appreciate in every  situation.  Her sense of humor and willingness to go the extra mile made her a wonderful team member and trainer.  In her personal life, I know she worked very hard to provide for her family and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. 

Clara left this world a better place than it would  have been without her.  I will always remember and be grateful that she was a part of my work family.  May she rest in peace and may you be comforted. 

I am so saddened to hear about Maria Clara's passing!   Since I started working at  FIU in 1988 I attended many courses given by her.  She was so patient with me and would not mind staying after the class to  answer my questions.  She was very sweet and calm.  It is indeed very sad to hear about her passing. My deep condolences for the loss of your Maria Clara. I knew her as Clara, and she was my teacher in many different workshops offered for faculty. I am so sorry to hear about Maria Clara's passing.  I remember many years ago how kind she was to me when I needed help with my technical needs.  She was a kind soul, and I deeply appreciated how much she cared for the students, co-workers, and all who seeked her help.

Clara was my first boss at FIU as I started at the PC computer open labs. She was so wonderful person that any one wish to have as a boss. I knew her son ,Patrick and daughter. Yes, she always had a beautiful smile and willing to help.

Clara is now in a beautiful place and has seen the face of God.  I can't think of a time when she was not smiling, and I am sure she is smiling now in heaven too.   I only have beautiful memories of her.  It was Clara who would remind me that there was Mass on campus on Wednesdays and she would send me her calendar invite so it would be on my calendar and I would not forget.  May God grant your family peace during this difficult time.

I'm very sorry to hear of her passing... she was a very special person. I met her back in 1998 and throughout the years we've always kept in touch... She was always  sharing stories about her family, her grandkids and all their accomplishments; she was very proud of all of you. My deepest condolences goes out to you all. So sorry for your lost. Maria Clara was a very nice lady, a friend and co-worker.  She will be missed.  She is not gone, she just moved to be with the Lord.  Those we hold closest to our heart never truly leave.  They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives.
