Maximo Diaz, a man that was bigger than life, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Maximo Diaz was born in Cuba on November 18, 1954. He was a jack of all trades and a master of mechanics. Maximo knew how to build a house, fix any car, and everything in between. He was a man who could talk about a vast array of things from constellations, politics, music, world history, theology, theories, inventions, and more. He loved the beach and doing anything outdoors, and he loved exploring and being adventurous. He lived his life without fear, he loved the journey, and made an adventure out of the simplest of things. He had the ability to make the ordinary seem extraordinary. Now we know that ability was due to his impressive personality. Maximo is survived by his wife Luidmila Ayde of 9 years, his daughters Ivis Mercedes and Helen Maxine, his sons Max Gil and Maximo Jr., his grandchildren Brian, Devin, Izaiah, Jackson, Emma, Zoe, Cali, and Abigail, his sister Caridad, and his brother (his best friend for over 35 years) Juan Zamora. Maximo was an amazing father, an example to all, with the kindest most giving heart , and a friend to all.

Maximo leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and passion for life. He was a generous, joyous, and loving soul that lit up any room he entered. His charming and charismatic ways were a magnet for all that met him. He lived a life full of dignity, honor, and honesty. His pride and joy was his family, especially his children. He was devoted to them unconditionally. He dedicated quality time to his family building unique memories that they will each cherish for eternity. He lived life fearlessly, passionately, and without regrets; he always said we all have a selected departure date or an “expiration date” as he joked about it. Everything he did, he did through love. He was an admirable example of tenacity, perseverance and epitome of life.

Maximo left us too soon but he will always live in our hearts.

I met Max and his Wife at the time when I was 13 years old I am 45 today. Years of friendship and love. I played with his Kids, Helen & Jr. were little babies, I remember my mom didn't let me go anywhere only to their house, I went everyday. Through the years Max showed my brother how to do mechanic work. He would take us to the beach and family gatherings. Gave us many great advices as we were growing up. We became family. I will forever Love Max, he was a great person a loving father and an awesome friend. May God bless his Soul. May he Rest in Peace. I pray that God provides the family with Strength in these hard times.
