Octavio Tellez

Octavio Tellez (March 7, 1930 to December 26, 2022). Octavio passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022. Octavio was born in Managua, Nicaragua in 1930 and went on to have a decorated military career in the Nicaraguan Air Force. He retired as a Colonel after 30 years of service. He brought his family to Miami in 1979, escaping as the country was being taken over. Octavio worked as a security guard for over 30 years, most times having two full time jobs. He did everything he could to provide for his wife and four children. Octavio was predeceased by his loving wife, Ethel Tellez (Guillen), in 1994. He is survived by his four children, Elizabeth Tellez, Ethel Price (Michael), Evelyn Antonucci (James) and son, Octavio Tellez (Veronica). Eight grandchildren, Daniel Torano (Hilda), David Torano (Sheylah), Erika Morley (Daniel), Katie Price, Kristy Price, Zoey Price, Kaele Tellez and Konnor Tellez. Seven great grandchildren, Lincoln Morley, Liv Morley, Lynnix Morley, Melanie Nicole Torano, Aubree Sophia Torano, Leah Elizabeth Torano and Sabrina Antonia Torano. Octavio’s passing leaves a great void in everyone’s hearts. We will miss his stories, his never ending love and his humor.

A visitation for Octavio will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 2:45 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186. Following the visitation will be a burial at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.
