There are so many wonderful memories we shared that I can’t pick one. You were my sister, my advisor and my confidant. You supported me during the hardest times of my life. I could always count on you to show me the way. My heart aches at your loss and I find it hard to carry on. You were an angel on earth and God called you home.

Hi everyone my name is Renea, and four years ago I meant Mrs. Odalys at a nonprofit organization. I was that kid who was Lost and broken and was scared to even say my own name and she found every way to help me speak up and started trusting again. I lost both my parents at the age of 9-10 in the same week but when I meet Mrs. Odalys I knew that I could give life it self a Second chance because she gave me hope that no one else in my family couldn’t give me. I love you so very much and I’m sorry that I wasn’t there for you I’m so sorry. I also gave her a bracelet that’s a family‘s friend and we will always be family ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ My condolences to her family and friends😭

Odalys, when I think of you, I will forever hear your amazing laughter. You had such a beautiful soul. I will never forget all the years with sears as the traveling duo for home fashions., or when I got you to dress up as Marilin Monroe and pop out of that cake to sing Happy birthday to Jim Denny. The memories are beautiful and endless.

My dearest friend;

You leave behind a remarkable legacy comprised of love, wittiness, work ethic, determination, perseverance, keen eye for merchandising excellence and infectious laughter.  You touched the lives of thousands of customers in magnificent ways over the decades and gained the admiration of your peers, family, friends and from my dear friend, Amado.  

I shall never forget our Sears Town and Country grand opening back in 1989 when as the doors 1st opened to our customers, your laughter resonated across the store;  and the sunlight cutting through the sun roof,  shined positivity all over you.  Rest In Peace my dearest friend, Rest In Peace.

Odalys was a kind and generous person.  Loved by all and an Angel before her time.  Her giving spirit and desire to help others was an inspiration to all.  We will miss you dearly.  Extending heartfelt condolences to the Casas Family. 


Odalys, waking up this morning to you no longer being with us is crippling.  I had grown to know you as one of my favorite people.  The legacy you have left behind will not be forgotten and will continue to live on in this world. I’m certain that you are in heaven watching over those you love and living your best life. I will forever miss you my friend. 

To the  family, thank you for allowing us to have a part of this amazing woman. I can’t imagine what you all are going through but what I do know is she’ll never leave you. Her memories will always serve as a reminder of what a true friend, confidant, daughter, sister, aunt, partner and mother to all who would allow her into their lives.  May God bless you all!

To the family of Odalys Casas: My deepest sympathy to you. I worked with Odalys at TJ Maxx and she was my manager. At the time,  I was an emerging leader and she took me under her wing. I learned a lot from her and she played an integral part in my growth and development into the manager I am today.

She was a hardworking woman who wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty to get the job done.  I appreciated that she was willing to work alongside her subordinates and would not ask someone to do something she wouldn't be willing to do herself. She was a woman of action and not just talk.

Even after leaving TJ Maxx for another job opportunity, we still kept in touch and I would visit the store from time to time. We would have good conversations and she always made me feel welcomed. She definitely impacted me and many others.

I mourn with you and may God bless you all.

Both Rosa and I were devastated to learn of the passing of Odalys. She was a sweet, thoughtful, caring, and nurturing individual. She was my brothers better half, and we will miss and love her forever. God Bless you Odalys. You are at peace. I thank God Amado and Odalys found each other and had the opportunity to find love and a soulmate in this lifetime. At a time like this there are no words to express how we feel other than we love you and are here to support you. 

To Amado and the family of Odalys:  I worked with Odalys at Sears and ditto to Debbie Wing’s sentiments- she was a lovely young woman who always wore a smile.  Odalys was sent to Sears International Mall to show me the ropes as a manager of the bed and bath department. Odalys was a workaholic and traveled extensively with Sears.  Amado, only God and time will heal your aching heart.  But May the clasped hands of family and friends in prayer comfort you.  Love Always, Denise 

Dear Odalys, God called for you too soon. May you be in his glory and in his presences. We will miss you daily until we meet again. 

Odalys was one of the nicest, most friendly and positive people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with.   Visiting  her at Sears was a pleasure.  She was always smiling and ready for the day.  My heart goes out to Amado and the rest of her family as well as for all who knew her and are now grieving.  

Odalys you were my mentor. It is so hard to believe you are gone. I will always remember you sitting in my hospital room holding my newborn daughter and wrapping her up with the beautiful pink blanket you hand made for her. She still has it. You believed in me. Took a chance on me to deliver a district meeting but I felt confident and comfortable because I had your support. I loved the way you called me Jo. You and your husband made the cutest couple. Amado you have all my love and support during this difficult time
