Carolyn R Weiss

Born on November 3, 1944, in Bellbrook, Ohio, to Woody and Marge Coyan, Carolyn lived a full and generous life centered on family, friendships, and helping those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Coyan and Marjorie (Glass) Coyan and her brother Eddie Coyan.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Stephen Weiss; daughters, Marcey (Mark) Hutchison and Shelley (Danny) Arnett; grandchildren, Quinn Hutchison, Kellen Hutchison, Maggie Arnett, and Gabbie Arnett; and sister, Cathy (Coyan) Moore.

Carolyn graduated from Morehead College, where she met and married the love of her life. She built an incredible marriage with him, and wonderful childhoods for her two daughters. During her 35-year teaching career, much of it spent at Kinder Elementary in Miamisburg, she enriched the lives of thousands of students.

Beyond being a devoted wife and extraordinary mother, she also found joy in gardening, reading, decorating, and spoiling her grandchildren. She also loved trips to the Casino as well as her many vacations with family friends, the Holps and the Critzers. Her kindness, humor, and dedication to her family and students will be remembered by all who knew her.

Her family will receive friends from 11:00 PM - 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will follow at 1:00 PM.
