Fred Reed

Age 82, formerly of Miamisburg, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014. He was born March 15, 1932 in Upper Buffalo-Owsley County, KY to the late James and Ida (Rice) Reed. Also preceding him in death is his wife of 56 years, Gracie M. Reed; son, Benny Reed and daughter, Deborah Frasier. Fred is survived by his sons, Ed Reed of Farmersville, Billy Reed of Miamisburg and Jamie (Lesley) Reed of Kettering; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Ollie Turner, Alice Fox, Aileen McIntosh; brother, Gene Reed; special niece, Donna Carpenter; special son-in-law, Darrell Frasier; dear friend, Pam Johnson and many other extended family and friends. Fred worked at General Motors for over 30 years and enjoyed spending his time coon hunting and picking the banjo. Family will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Monday, April 14 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 East Linden Ave. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. Funeral services will follow at 1pm, also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Bobby Reed. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
