Jerome “Jerry” Lee Wendling, age 64, passed away in Dayton after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Russell Wendling in 2013. Survivors include his mother, LaVerne Weber Wendling of Washington Township, children Nicole and Robert Wendling and grandchildren Elizabeth and Angel Wendling of Grand Rapids, MI, siblings Jeffery (Elizabeth), Jay (Linda), James (Linda), and Joan Taschenberger (Lawrence), and his God-mother and aunt Lorraine Wendling as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jerry was born in Cincinnati on September 20, 1951, a 1970 graduate of Waynesville High School and honorably served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
