John “Jay” S. Hannahan, 76, of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home. He was born in Deerlodge, Tennessee to the late John and Amanda Hannahan. John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nyla Rae Hannahan; sons, James (Kathy) Hannahan and Jeff (Diana) Hannahan; grandchildren, Matt (Keighly) Hannahan, Staff Sargent Kyle Hannahan, US Army, and Jordan (Hali) Hannahan; step-grandson, L.A. (Jenna) Theil; 3 great granddaughter, 1 step- great grandson, and 2 step-great granddaughters; as well as his brother, Eric (Kim) Hannahan. John graduated from Wilbur Wright High School and retired from the City of Dayton Fire, Crash, and Rescue. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher. John loved camping, traveling, gardening, and wood working crafts.
