Lucy Katherine McFarland Davis Bow

Lucy Katherine (McFarland) Davis Bow, age 90, of Miamisburg, OH passed away peacefully on the morning of April 9, 2016 at Otterbein of Springboro. She was born September 7, 1925 in Bath County, KY to Roe and Bertie (Shields) McFarland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley and Marshall McFarland and sisters, Christine Reffitt and Effie Crockett and son-in-law, Leeroy Milligan.She is survived by her daughters, Bertie (Wayne) Caudill of Carlisle, Ohio and Bonnie Milligan of Germantown, OH; her sons, Brooks (Faye) Davis Jr. of Burkesville, KY, Bill (Gwen) Davis of Pulaski, TN and Tony (Linda) Davis of Arcanum, OH; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great , great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Lucy was a homemaker, Red Cross instructor, nurse's aide at Miami Valley Hospital, co-owner of a country store called the Rocky Valley Market in New Market, TN for many years and also was an associate member of the Miamisburg Art Gallery. She loved Elvis, the Cincinnati Reds and liked to watch golf on TV. Lucy lived at Avalon Otterbein Springboro for the last five years. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the building staff, Chaplain Linda, James, Otterbein Hospice and all the nurses for their love and caring attention to Lucy. We will be forever grateful. Services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home located at 508 E. Linden Avenue, Miamisburg, OH. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Gary Cloyd and procession to Highland Memorial Cemetery which will serve as Lucy’s final resting place.
