Marcella Potter

POTTER, Marcella L., age 74 of Middletown and formerly of Miamisburg, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Sunday, March 5, 2017. She was born October 2, 1942 in Tazewell, TN to the late Rafe and Hester (Coffey) Lane. In addition to her parents Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. O’Dell n 1978, a twin sister, Flo Burns, sister, Macy Branch and brothers, Robert Lane, J.B. Lane, Curt Brooks, Iver Lane and Denny Lane. She is survived by her children, Timmy Potter of Middletown, Jerry Potter of Miamisburg, Karen (Florencio) Vasquez of Texas and Walt Hauschild of West Carrollton; grandchildren, Dylan, Brooke, Bethany, Jerrica, Constance, Hannah, Anna, Andrea, Abigail and Parker; great grandchildren, Aidan, Kyrah, Kailynn, Kyson and another on the way; siblings, Carrie (Paul) Purvis of Florida and Sidney and Floyd Lane, both of Miamisburg as well as a special niece, Edith Jewell of Miamisburg. Marcella was a devoted homemaker raising her three cherished sons and caring for the things that brought her joy. She had a knack for growing flowers and loved Elvis memorabilia, angels, Native American collectibles and elephant figurines. Marcella believed that a lifted trunk facing a window to the East meant good luck. The family will celebrate her life at a later date with a memorial.
