Marilyn Jean Marsh Andre

ANDRE, Marilyn J., age 91 of Miamisburg, OH passed away on December 24, 2015. She was born in Portsmouth, OH January 26, 1924 to the late Claude and Mary Elizabeth (Mullen) Marsh. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Lowell E. Andre (1990), brother, Dale Marsh and sisters, Josephine, Mary Ellen, and Wanda Marsh. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Richard) Early; sisters, Becky Bowman, Joan Denning and Gwen Marsh; nieces and nephews Keri Chamberlain, Ty (Laurie) Marsh, Jan (John) Johnson, Steve (Elaine) Bowman, David (Patti Skelton) Bowman, Diane (Joe) Pieratt and many cousins. Marilyn was a graduate of Portsmouth East High School and at the tender age of 20, proudly served in the U.S. Navy WAVES during WWII. She retired after 30 years of service from Monsanto Corporation Mound Lab as an x-ray technician and was a tireless volunteer for many years at the Miamisburg Senior Center. Marilyn was a member of the Miamisburg Merry Milers and life-member of the American Legion Post # 165, Miamisburg. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum, Dayton. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00pm Tuesday also at the cemetery. Entombment will be preceded by military honors performed by the American Legion Post 165 and the US Navy. It is the wish of the family that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Dayton or the church, charity or organization of their choice.
