

BARTON, Mary Jean, age 79 of Hillsboro, OH and former resident of Crestwood Care Center passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 23, 1934 in Brookville, OH to the late Frank Lester and Lelia Rozanna (Eckhart) Ruebush. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Emerson Ruebush, Martha Kubander, Norman Ruebush, Richard Ruebush and Stella Brentlinger. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Glenn Douglas Barton; her sons, Dan & Chris Barton of Dayton and Dana & Barbie Barton of Miamisburg; grandsons, Stuart & Sarah Barton of Dayton and Charlie Swafford of Miamisburg; siblings, Kenneth Ruebush of Brookville, Shirley Ducker of Texas and Ted Ruebush of Farmersville and a sister-in-law, Myra Fite of Miamisburg. Mary’s family extends their deep appreciation for the staff and care provided by Hospice of Dayton and Miami Valley Hospital ICU nurse, Ben Southerland. Mary was a 1953 graduate of Jefferson High School and had worked years ago at Zink’s Meat Market of Miamisburg and Franklin. Mary loved to read and frequented the library. She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning, caring for her lawn, golf and entertaining. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, November 17, 2014 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Burial of ashes will immediately follow at Ellerton Cemetery, Moraine.
