FLEMING, Mary Elizabeth, age 93 of Miamisburg, passed away May 4, 2015 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. Mary was born April 5, 1922 in Jackson, OH to the late Roy Bundy Franklin and Katherine (Ruhama) Gilliland. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dean Fleming in 2005; a son, Michael Allen Kern; daughter, Phyllis Jean Arvay; the father of her children, Raymond Austil Kern; a granddaughter, Debbie Arvay and several siblings. Mary is survived by her sons, James Edward (Kathy) Kern of Old Greenwich, CT and Raymond Eugene (Nancy) Kern of Tucson, Az; grandchildren, Chris Kern, Kim Chrisope, Linda (John) Jaqua, Jason (Miki) Kern, Andrea (Ben) Bosse, Bryan (Sarah) Kern and Jeff (Angel) Kern; 6 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cathy Kern and son-in-law, Milton Arvay as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary attended McArthur City Schools in Ohio and spent 10 years as a hostess for the Tall Timbers Supper Club in Dayton,Ohio. She was a former member of the Troy Street EUB Church and was always very spiritual and close to her faith. Mary enjoyed writing poetry, reading and most of all, spending time with her family and the grandchildren. A memorial service will be hosted by Sycamore Glen Health Center, Miamisburg at 2:30pm Monday, June 22, 2015 and led by Brother C.W. DePoyster. Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Garden in Venice, FL will serve as Mary’s final resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association at P.O.
