Olive Marie Haught

HAUGHT, Olive “Marie”, age 92 of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties, Middletown. Marie was born September 3, 1922 in Fairmont, WV to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Cann) Everson. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jacob “Edward” Haught (July 1, 1995); daughters, Cheryl Marie Gallo and Kimberly Ann Russell; grandchildren, Timothy Haught and Jessica Russell and siblings, Wilma Stanton, Anna Watkins and Bernard Everson. Marie is survived by her son and caregiver, Michael (Pamela) Haught of Miamisburg; granddaughter, Angel (Jason) Courtney; great grandchildren, Christian, Kimberleah, Allysa and Ciara; her brother, John (Gladys) Everson; niece, Linda Rutherford; nephew, Johnny Everson and a very special friends and spiritual caregivers, Steve and Donna Greene. Marie was a 1938 graduate of West Fairmont High School and completed her degree in business from Fairmont Business College in 1941. She served as an executive secretary at Monsanto for 29 years before retirement. She was also member of St. James United Methodist Church, Miamisburg and of the Order of the Eastern Star, W.A. Reiter Chapter 439. Marie will always be membered for her dedication to family and her generosity. She enjoyed knitting and frequent shopping trips. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 noon Thursday also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Deb Holder. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties at 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Middletown, OH 45005.
