He was born on December 14, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Vincent and Edna (Harrell) Townsend.
Vince was born and raised in Miamisburg. He was a 1976 graduate of Miamisburg High School where he played football. Vince was a Viking through and through. He worked from Dayton Superior for over 30 years and then worked for Elements IV Interiors mostly at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for about 8 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and a Cincinnati Bengals fan. Vince was an amazing father and husband. Vince loved traveling to Nashville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbi Townsend; son, Michael (Tasha) Townsend; several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Art Berry; mother-in-law, Janet Berry; a host of friends, including special friends Ronnie and Andi Ashcraft, and Jason and Allison Young; as well as his doggies, Cocoa and Bella.
Along with his parents, Vince was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ray Berry; his sisters, Lenora (Danny) Branch and Vivian Fox; and his doggies, Jazmine and Sugarbear.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will take place at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg.
