William Bill C. Zimmer, Jr.

Age 67 of West Carrollton, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 15, 1946 in Dayton to Marianne (Mack) Zimmer and the late, William C. Zimmer, Sr. Also preceding him in death is a brother-in-law, Jim Bishop; and sisters-in-law, Lois Ludwig and Lynn Zimmer. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Cathy (Ludwig) Zimmer; his mother, Marianne Zimmer; children, Rich (Kathy) Zimmer, Rob (Missy) Zimmer, Carrie (David) Rasper, Chrissy (Mark) Puterbaugh; grandchildren, Max, Mason, Paul, Kayleigh, Cassi, Jordan, Emily, Ethan, Alyx, Zack, and Rylie; great-grandchildren, Josh, Cali and Hayleigh; sister, Janet Bishop; brother, Jimmy Zimmer and many other extended family and friends. Bill graduated from Wilbur Wright High School class of 1964 and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a printer with Printing Service Co throughout his entire career. He was a member of the Greene County Fish & Game and the Miamisburg Moose Lodge. Bill loved the great outdoors and was known as “Mr. Bill” to all the neighborhood children. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Bill’s family would like to say a special “Thank You” to all of the Sycamore Hospital ICU staff for all of their wonderful care and support over the last 2 months. Friends and family may visit from 6-7pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 470 S. Gebhart-Church Rd, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342 followed by the memorial service at 7pm with Pastor Tina Scheuller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, in memory of Bill.
