Words cannot express our family's sense of loss.  You were the big sister everyone needed in their lives.  We were truly blessed to have shared our childhoods with you.  You were always there for each and every one of us, Carol. You shared our hopes and dreams, our sadness and our joy.  So many lives have been touched by your goodness and love.  You, along with Momma, helped to raise us by the use of a firm steady hand.  Your younger sisters and brothers can now look back and remember that it was you and brother John who held us together during the hard times.  You have always been my best friend and confidant. Mama Merrill,
Your love was undying, your spirit one of a kind and your memory everlasting. I love you dearly and thank you for all of the times you gave me advice, good advice. You always told me the truth of what you thought. You taught me how to be a good neighbor. Your home was love and fun times. The door was always open. So many memories of you flash in my head in your little terry cloth one-piece summer outfits by the pool. Cutest little lady out in her garden telling me what you and Big Ed had planted that year. Your cooking was second to none, what you loved to do. Something was always on the stove. I will never forget your smile and your laugh, that is how you lived smiling, always finding the happiness. I love you so much and will miss you until the day I leave here. Rest easy in heaven, find all of the beautiful gardens until we meet again.
