Christian Zerkowski passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 61. Dear son of the late Bronislaw and Doris (nee Lotowicz); loving brother of Cyntia Engleman (Greg), Cristina Vomero (Dean) and Gabriel Zerkowski; cherished uncle of Connor and Emma Vomero; caring nephew, cousin and friend of many.
We gather to celebrate the life of a man who understood something many spend a lifetime trying to learn — that the smallest things often hold the greatest meaning. Christian found joy in simple pleasures: his favorite little treats, quiet visits, familiar voices, and the comfort of those he loved. Those “little things” were never truly little to him. They were treasures, and he treated them as such. When you walked into the room, he would say your name in a way that made you feel seen, known, and deeply appreciated. In that simple greeting, he had a gift for warming hearts.
Christian had an extraordinary ability to read people. He knew when someone genuinely cared, and he cherished those connections with sincerity. Sensitive and intuitive, he felt the world deeply. That sensitivity was not a weakness, but one of his greatest strengths. It allowed him to love openly, to give thanks freely, and to connect in ways that were authentic and lasting.
Though his life was built on small, quiet joys, the impact he made was anything but small. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, gratitude, and warmth. His gentle smile, his tender heart, and the way he made others feel valued will forever remain in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He taught us that greatness is not measured in grand gestures, but in how we make others feel — welcomed, appreciated, and loved.
Christian will be truly and deeply missed, but the warmth he shared will continue to live on in all of us.
