

DON HINTE, age 90, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. He leaves behind a legacy rooted in love, warmth, and unwavering generosity. Beloved husband of 68 years to Frances (nee Denny). Loving father of Kim Zevchik. Cherished “Papa” to Collin and Kayla Zevchik. Dearest son of the late Chris and Dorothy (nee Holstein). The youngest of nine siblings, Don is also survived by several loving sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Don lived a life of purpose and passion. He was an avid golfer and, in his later years, found great joy in boating. Beyond his hobbies, Don was a dedicated volunteer who gave back to his community in countless ways. He was especially active in supporting local causes and organizations, most notably through his longtime involvement with American Legion Post 703.
Don deeply loved his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. Time spent with family meant the world to him, and his warm heart and uplifting spirit touched everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

A Celebration of Life service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 6 PM in the funeral home. Final resting place: Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family will receive friends TUESDAY from 4–6 PM at the A. Ripepi & Sons Funeral Home, 18149 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, Ohio (west of I-71).
