

JOHN PAUL McNAMARA age 59. Beloved husband of Denise (nee Hamilton). Loving father of John ( Jaimee ) Nick (Yolanda) Brittany (Kyle) Ryan (Melissa) Catherine (Jeff). Cherished "Papa Mac" to Ella, Liam, Daxton, Noah and Gavin. Son of Faith Vidovich (David) and the late John P. McNamara. Dear brother of James (Michele), Peter (Ellie)Thomas (Janice) and the late Joseph. Son in law of Kathy (late Dennis) Hamilton and brother in law of Michele (Marty) Taft.
Born and raised in Cleveland - John attended high school in North Ridgeville where he played drums in the marching band. After Graduating he became a paramedic when he was 18 years old where he started a career in Elyria, he later went on to get hired in May of 1987 as a Paramedic for the city of Cleveland where he devoted 30 years of work and retired in May, 2017.
John enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his family and friends. Having a good time was always what he wanted to be doing. From Browns football Sunday’s in the fall to watching the Indians in the spring-Sports was always on his list. Holidays are what made dad smile. From st Patrick’s day to Christmas and everything in between he always made each and every one of them memorable and fun for everyone
Dad loved his nights at the casino. Sitting at a slot machine trying to strike it big is where he enjoyed some of his time. When not out and about dad loved taking care of his house and his yard. From fixing things in the house to cutting his grass and planting his flowers. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, North Ridgeville, Ohio.
Dad loved being at home with his dogs and therefore, in lieu of flowers, please mail contributions to the SRT-K9 Unit, for the continued support of First Responders K9's.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 - 9 PM at THE A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OHIO 44130 (WEST of I-71)
