Josephine Olga Short

She was born July 29, 1935 in Fairmont, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Pete and Anna Zogol of Rachel, West Virginia. Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Gene Short, who predeceased her on May 30, 2000. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Tony Perry of Peninsula, Ohio and Carol and Jerry Delfosse of Grafton, Ohio; two step-daughters, Bonnie and Dan Snyder of Mentor, Ohio and Linda Wirick (deceased); grandchildren Heather Perry, Tony R. and Ruth Ann Perry, Jerry Delfosse III and Julia Rodriguez, Bailey Delfosse and Katelyn Bedocs, Christopher Delfosse and Elizabeth Elbert, Christine Delfosse, Ryan Delfosse, Maggie Miller and Jeff Brown, Shanin and Shawn Storm, Hattie Hess and Allen Underhill, Jason Dudas and Cassie Geizerand Jessica and Dan Kusar; 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Catherine Kanoski, Anna Jimmie, Rose Doshen, Pete Zogol Jr., Margaret Shamblin and John Zogol.

She was a member of New Hope Apostolic in LaGrange, Ohio. Her favorite song was Let Us Have A Little Talk With Jesus hymnal.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 4PM-8PM with a funeral service at 7PM at Craciun Funeral Home 14925 E. bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, Ohio. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at West Park Cemetery, 3942 Ridge Rd., Cleveland. Please meet at Craciun Funeral Home at 10AM for procession.
