Lawrence J. Masek Sr.

with his family by his side. He was born March 13, 1929.

He is survived by his children Lawrence Jr. (Marilyn), Christine (James) Perry, and Ronald Sr. (Kay). Cherished grandfather of Lawrence III (Joyce), Stephanie (Michael) Childress, Laura (Jeffrey) Streszoff, Edward (Becky) Perry, Lauren (Paul) Sen, Ronald Jr. (Amira), Kevin (Venessa) Coughlin, Daniel (Audrey) Coughlin and Clare Kinzel. Dearest great grandfather of Maria, Mark, Michael, Hannah, Rachel, Jacob, Emma, PJ, Layla, Michael, Kayla, Rylan, Elyse, Shane, Daniel Jr, Madison, and Olivia.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years Dorothy, daughter Susan Coughlin, and great granddaughter Abby Streszoff.

Larry was a husband, father, pilot, aircraft mechanic, avid outdoorsman and member of the Quiet Birdman. His willingness to teach and impart his aviation knowledge to family and friends earned him the nickname “Coach”, a name that was appropriate and he wore well.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 16, 2026, at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 N Amber Dr., Brooklyn, Ohio at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will be THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 2026 from 3 – 7 PM at the A.RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 Bagley Road (West of I-71)
