In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Cleveland Pregnancy Center in Linda’s honor where she was a volunteer counselor to girls in crisis for 25 years at 3924 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113.
Linda Sue Hull (Wilgus) 82, of Middleburg Heights, went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. She courageously battled cancer for 5 years with such grace that many did not know. Even two weeks before she passed Linda was taking walks around the block in her neighborhood.
A Texan, Linda‘s family moved around the South settling in Tulsa. She attended University of Oklahoma and University of Tulsa for 4 years, becoming Sweetheart of Sigma Chi Fraternity (enabling Don to become president riding on her popularity). Although she grew up going to church, at the age of 26 Linda became a Christian. She was transformed into such a winsome follower of Jesus that Don also took that road 2 years later. They moved to Pittsburgh where they lived for 12 years and then came to Cleveland in 1984.
Linda loved God, people, and life itself. She served others joyfully with all her heart, counseling young women in God‘s ways, loving each one in her own family, and making others feel as if they belonged too. Linda was always quick with a smile and practical help, offering to drive, babysit, sew, cook, teach, and even hosting visitors in her home, up to a year or more.
She will be greatly missed by many, none more than her husband of 61 years, Don. Remaining relatives include her fun sister, Peggy Wymore (and John), her loving son, Scott (and Susan with their 3 children, their spouses and 7 grandchildren), her favorite daughter Gini Cressman (and Tom with their 4 sons).
