She was the beloved wife of the late Michel Abraham, with whom she shared 50 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Together, they built a home centered on faith, family, and tradition.
Mary Ann was a devoted and loving mother to Jacki Dunlap (Bob), Mich (Patty), Joe (Janel), and Jude (deceased). A cherished “Sito” (Grandma) to Mike (Katie), Emily (Tommy), Amanda, Jimmy, Hannah (Emerson), Grace, Joey, and Sarah - and later as “Great Sito” to Bennett and Natalie. She treasured every milestone, celebration, and ordinary day spent with them. Was also a loving aunt to many.
She was also the dearest sister of Gloria Coury (Robert, deceased), Francine Reynolds (Asher), and Adele Costa (Angelo, deceased). Their sisterhood was a source of strength and joy, filled with stories and traditions.
Born and raised in Detroit, Mary Ann lived her married life in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, where she and Michel raised their family with love and dedication. Later in life, she and Michel moved to Cleveland to be closer to their children, grandchildren, and her sisters. Mary Ann cherished every gathering, whether big or small, and could always be found at the heart of the celebration—offering a warm smile, sharing family stories, and making everyone feel loved and welcomed.
Mary Ann’s love reached far beyond her family. She had a generous heart and a strong faith that guided her throughout her life. She worked at St. Sabina Church and later enjoyed a long career at the Detroit News, where she served as a manager in the circulation department. Even after retiring, she found joy in working at DeRos Delicacies, where her warmth and kindness touched many. As one of the original members of St. Sabina Church, Mary Ann was deeply committed to her parish, often volunteering her time and energy in service to others.
To all who knew her, Mary Ann will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gentle spirit, and the way she made each person feel like family.
