Beloved wife of the late Albert Wells. Loving mother of the late Anthony “Tony” Giannola (passed away 10/5/1978), Salvador “Sam” Giannola of Strongsville, Ohio, Caryn “Sunny” Giannola of Brookpark, Ohio, and Samana “Cheryl” Benedetti of Austin, TX. Mother in law to Linda. Daughter of the late Walter and Frances Laskowski. Sister of Judy Schmitt (Carl) of Anaheim, CA and the late Joyce Giacopelli and Tom Laskowski. Step-mother of Marsha Oldfield (Craig) and Debbie Jahn (Dave).
Pat’s greatest joy were her grandchildren Leona Zeoli (Joe) of Burbank, CA, John P. Fabanich, II (Anna) of Los Angeles, CA, Angelo Giannola (Natassia) and Davidde Giannola of Strongsville, OH, the late Sydney Giannola, and Mailee Benedetti-Peters of Austin, TX; and her bonus grandchildren Glen Oldfield (Jill) and Ellen Lister (Mike); her great-grandchildren who called her “GiGi”, Miles, Otis, Kaylie and Viviana as well as her bonus great-grandchildren, Kora, Carlie and Gavin.
Pat was a very accomplished woman. Being an author of a children’s book titled Little Knife was one of Pat’s greatest accomplishments. A highly self-taught and self-educated woman, Pat spent most of her working years in corporate law and then in 1987, she and her husband Al opened a jewelry store, Gems, Etc. in Medina, Ohio which is still open and being run by her son Sam. A true Diva in every sense of the word, Pat was the epitome of a highly fashioned, high-class woman, always dressed to the nines! She loved her flowers and plants, crocheting, music and singing. Pat enjoyed singing at the original location of The Wooden Nickel. Entertaining was another source of enjoyment for Pat. She held many social events with local dignitaries and celebrities in attendance. Pat was one of a kind and will truly be missed by many.
