Richard A. Jaeckel, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Giles) for nearly 60 years; devoted father of Laurie Prince; caring brother of the late Herta Gerst (Elmer) and the late Claire Grisz (Adam).
Richard was a retired English teacher for the Cleveland Public Schools. He was a proud graduate of Ohio University.
He was an avid music lover and collector from age 12. He was a college radio DJ and also worked on local radio in the late 60s. He worked part time at Recordland for many years and had a DJ business for 25 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are requested to the Bethany Lutheran Church Capital Fund, 6041 Ridge Rd., Parma 44129.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, 4-6 p.m., at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY RD., MIDDLEBURG HTS. (WEST OF I-71)
