Words cannot express the amount of sadness I feel right now. Not only was Bobby a good friend, but we had that brother bond that no matter what was inseparable. Life is a challenge and even though it was cut short for Bobby he still stood face to face with his challenges and stayed strong. If ever there was anyone who would try their hardest to do what he could for the people he cared about, it was Bobby. 

Friendship for some people is hard to come by and for others can be very easy. Anyone can call anyone a friend, but a true friend becomes like family and stands by your side no matter what. I am extremely greateful and blessed that Bobby was part of my family, and was excepted to be a "good friend" to many others. Life is by far the most beautiful thing that we take for granted. Too many times do we forget to stop and take in the moments in life that should matter most to us. Every step we take determines the next movement we make, the next consequence we suffer, or maybe even brings us closer to a goal we have set in life. Too many times do we endure hardships in this thing called life, something that should be such a simple task. But with the end of life... new life begins, just as a bird spreads it's wings to take flight on a new journey. That rush of air as we come into the world wings flapping, the glide of the wind over our wings as we soar thru life, and the gentle touchdown on a lonely wire as we come to rest. It's funny how when we're younger we can't wait to be older, but as we get older... we look back and wish we could be young again. Our vitality is based on what we make of it... what we make of ourselves and our lives. I've always said that I would be happier as a poor person who was loved by and loving of many, than to be a rich person who was loved by and loving of so few. All this time I never realized that being loved by many and loving many in return makes me the richest person I can be. The friends and family I have, the friends and family I've lost... the friends who ARE family, they all carry the greatest value... and for that, I am thankful.
