There is so many. From high school and on. Meeting Denise at your guys place to hangout before the bus came every morning in the shed/garage. Our constant circle k trips to just get polar pops. You watching my oldest skieler for a few so I can do something. You were a truly amazing spectacular lady. I'm so honored to have met you and been apart of your life as long as I was. My heart hurts, but I know your happy. I love you momma always and forever

1st time I met Velma was summer of 2015. She didn't know that Jeremy had a sister then proceeded to tell me that I was another one of her kids since all of Denise's friends end up calling her mom anyways. From that point on we would talk once in a while to check one how one another was doing. Last summer she told me that I had best stop over and visit her or she was gonna hunt me down. We talked for hours and when I left there I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders. She never judged me for my past but offered an ear and a hug if need be. She made me feel as though I've known her forever. She sure will be missed so much by so many people. Velma tell Jeremy and my mom that I will see y'all one day again. 

My birth giver, my best friend, my mother. The only person on the face of this Earth who truly knew how weird I can be. From freestyles of Brad Paisley, to shaking my booty to Metro Station in her doorway.  She would laugh so hard, that I thought she might cry.  When I had my first breakup, she cried with me and we talked about how much of a moron he was. She always made sure I ate, went to school, did the right thing. EVERYBODY loved my mom so much, it seemed like she knew every single person in the next 6 counties. Not one person I've come across had anything ill to say about her. They would always tell me "Make sure you take care of your mother", or "Your mom is so funny, she's just so cute. I love her." She always brightened everyones day, and would give you everything she had to know you were good. She was so stubborn, she'd make a mules stubbornness seem non existant. One thing she never did was put herself first, it was always about making people happy. When my son was born, she was so happy. The first time she held him, I cried. My mother, holding my first baby. All of the memories I have with her, I will cherish forever and hold so close to me. Her pain is gone, and she's finally free. She's finally with Brian, her love. She's missed him so much. I pray that she's happy, and I know she's watching over all of us. I love you so much mom, its so hard without you here. I miss you, and one day ill see you again. Fly high momma, show those angels how to be beautiful. 

Velma was a second mom to me since I was 14. Usually when you are teenager you avoid parents at all cost but I actually really enjoyed being around her so much. She made me feel so welcome at all times no matter what. I will miss her so much and cherish the blanket she made for my son. Rest in peace ❤️

I will never forget you Velma you were a good friend and a kind soul.I always could come over and talk to you when I lived next to you in Lodi both you and Denise are wonderful souls I m sure you are up in heaven free of pain and with Brain watching down looking after your children ,grandchildren and will always be ,you will be missed ,god needed another Angel . I am grateful that I meet you and we were friends .

God needed a Angel, and he takes the very best, I will miss you like crazy, I remember your 1st date you went and seen close encounters of the 3rd kind (1997) ,I Love you big sister and I will see you again, give my grandson a big kiss for me and hug our parents and grandparents ✝️💜

I got to meet Velma through Mcdonalds. She would come through often and get Carmel Frappe. She would also pick up something special for a friend of hers.  This would in turn brighten my day. 

How do I choose just one?! There are so many awesome memories. One that sticks in my mind from recent times is from last summer. Aria asked to ride her little police car over to "Elma's" house. She drove it up the driveway and kept hitting the siren button. Velma came to the window all smiles and grins and said "I thought I heard my Aria!" It made both of them so happy, yet was the simplest little thing. She sat on her stairs and talked to us. She sure loved my girls and they loved her right back. 

When i was 8 years old I lived next to Velma, she was so nice to me and my siblings. She always bought us popsicles and made us cookies! She was so amazing. I miss you <3

I remember when Brenda and I were kids you took us riding around looking at Christmas lights. We were talking on the CB radio and you yelled at one of the truckers for getting fresh with us. I miss visiting you up at Ellie's pizza and sleepovers at your house. Running over to your place on snow days. Parties for the kids. You accepted me as one of your own from the very beginning. I love you so much and I will keep these memories and more with me forever.

The first of so many memories is how pretty instantly I was welcomed into the family even bough not blood related, nobody would be able to tell I was always referred to as and treated just like one of her kids. And Mom always found away to involve me in every family function. And  asking me to be on her pool league we’re just two like I said of so so many amazing memories the earth lost a very special person, but everyone one who was honored enough to know her has someone who is still watching out for us ❤️

Velma. Where do I start. We had a poke war on Facebook🤣. You had Lukis and I over many times for dinner. Your meatloaf... is THE BOMB, and your mashed potatoes! Yummy! We still have the blanket you made Lukis and I. We will forever cherish it! Oh and the scarfs also! Lukis was your buddy. You will be missed very much! Love ya momma! Fly high💜
