

WAYNE R. WIGHTMAN age 76. Beloved husband of Pamela (nee James). Loving father of Lisa Wightman, Michelle Mather (Paul) and Jessica Wightman. Cherished “Papa” of Brian and Brooklyn Mather, Juliette and Joshua Whittimore. Dearest son of the late Ralph and Eunice Wightman and brother of the late Karen Yuhasz. True friend of many.
Wayne was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished papa. He had a successful career at AT&T, retired and spent 30 years as the owner of Customized Phone Systems.
Beyond his professional life, Wayne was a passionate sportsman and active member of his community. He was inducted into the Slo-Pitch Senior Softball Hall of Fame and proudly played for the Huff 'n Puffers. An avid water skier, Wayne was a 40-year member of the West Shore Water Ski Club and could often be found on the water, as well as enjoying snow skiing, bowling a perfect game, golfing, and riding on his Norton.
One of his favorite places was Lake Norris in Tennessee, where he could be found spending quality time with family and beloved friends. Whether cruising around on the Tuna boat or in his Bubba Bobber with a cold Corona or Captain and Coke in hand on the deck, Wayne’s love for life and the people around him was always evident.
Wayne’s zest for life, love for adventure, and dedication to his family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Divinity Lutheran Church, 11877 Blossom Ave, Parma Heights, Ohio on Thursday February 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4 – 8 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (West of I-71).
