He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Perry Aldridge and Rolando Aldridge.
Derrick is survived by his wife, Susan Aldridge; son, Derrick Jr.; three grandchildren, Darrana, Derrane and Derrius Aldridge of Hamilton, brother, Joel Aldridge of Middletown; two sisters, Mona (Nathaniel) Williams of Middletown and Piepper Hill of Middletown; two very special aunts, Rose Thompson, Peggy (James) Scott; his favorite uncle, John "Butch" (Patricia) Wright; many loving, nephews, nieces and great nephews, great nieces and cousins and many friends that were like his brothers and sisters.
Derrick was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness and would proclaim the Good News to all.
