Mollie Schrul-Turner, age 64, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born May 16, 1958 in Middletown, the daughter of William and Fern (Salley) Schrul.
Mollie is survived by her Mother Fern Schrul, her Aunt Randi Jovanovich her two brothers Larry (Vicki) Schrul and David Schrul, her significant other for the last 18 years Randall Baker, her daughter Angela (Jay) Hampton, her mother-in-law Mary Baker and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mollie had a heart of gold and found good in everyone she met. She could not say no to any animal or person that showed up at her door. She had the most beautiful smile that lit up her face. She had a natural flirty personality that would leave you feeling flattered and make you smile. She took pride in making someone’s day better.
She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind even if her opinion wasn’t the popular one. She stood up for what she felt was right. She was always trying to do right by others. She naturally spoke backwards which was adorable. She wasn’t afraid to laugh at herself or to be the butt of the joke. She cherished any gift given to her no matter how large or small.
She had a green thumb and a house full of plants. In the summer you would find her in her garden gushing over the baby plants thriving and encouraging the other plants to grow.
She had a unique way of looking at the world. She made rules to live by for example, “Do one good deed today.” “If you own a house you need to own a truck too.” My personal favorite is one she taught me years before social media existed “Don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.”
In the final months of her life, she was able to slay demons that had haunted her for a lifetime and made her family immensely proud. She loved God, her daughter, Randy, her family and friends a whole world full.
A Celebration of Mollie’s Life is pending. Once details have been finalized it will be updated online.
