Roy M. Fox, age 65, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away February 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born January 16, 1961, Roy was the son of Bradley and Ireen (Charles) Fox, who preceded him in death along with a younger brother Kennith Fox, nephew Orville Jacob Fox (OJ), brother-in-law Gene Morgan (GeBo) and sister-in-law Sheila Fox, who surely welcomed him home with open arms.
Roy lived with an inquisitive mind and a spirit that never stopped exploring. He could dive headfirst into any hobby that caught his curiosity. Whether it was fishing on a quiet morning, getting lost in good music, taking to the open road on his custom Harley Davidson motorcycle, or spending hours as a dedicated Ham Radio Operator connecting with voices from all over the world. He truly loved his family, his friends, and just about anyone he crossed paths with. Roy never met a stranger, his laid‑back, easygoing nature put people instantly at ease.
In 1981, Roy began his professional life in heating and air conditioning, a field which became both his craft and his pride. He earned a master license in 2000, and in April of 2002, Roy Fox Heating & Cooling was founded. Roy approached his work with the same warmth he brought to everything else, always telling folks, “You’ve got a buddy in the business.” His customers felt it, too. He absolutely loved what he did, and it showed in every handshake, every service call and every person he helped.
Roy will be deeply missed by his wife Connie Fox, son Bradley Fox, daughter Cayli Fox (Chris) and stepdaughters Jennifer Ballein Metcalf (Jamie) and Lindsey Ballein Grennar (Richard). He was especially proud of his children and loved them all dearly.
He is survived by his granddaughters Shaylin Fox and Shanda Fox, step-grandsons Lincoln Metcalf and Lucas Metcalf, his brother Garry Fox, sister Peggy Fox (Orville), business partner and children’s mother Tammy Fox, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, craftsmanship, and the countless lives he warmed both literally and figuratively. Roy’s laugh, his stories, his steady presence, and big‑hearted way of moving through the world will be remembered always.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 2:00pm at Middletown Nazarene Church, 215 S. Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Celebration of Roy's life is currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.
