Roy was a member of Grace Baptist for many years, during his time with them he served as a deacon and also sang in the choir. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandsons, Joshua Tunnell, David Lee Adkins Jr., brother, Bill Tunnell; sisters, Nellie Green Tunnell and Gertrude Tunnell.
Roy is survived by his wife of 68 years, Esther Tunnell; children, Patty (David) Adkins; Barbara (Tom) Nadler, William (Corinne) Tunnell; grandchildren, Mark Adkins, Michelle Fredrick, Sarah Ross, Shane Adkins; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm- 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Roger Green officiating. Burial will be at Grace Memorial Gardens.
