Thank you for being my all time favorite teacher & for the many wonderful memories I will always cherish deeply. 

When I think about Roosevelt Elementary School, my memories in her classroom are always front and center. Playing the xylophone, singing "Have you Seen the Ghost of John" during the Halloween season, singing in a regional choir and her stopping to get us ice cream when we were done, us having many heart to heart conversations, I can go on and on. 

I'm grateful to say that she was aware of the positive impact she made on my life just from simple interactions in her classroom. I always made sure she knew this when I'd see her. 

She was beautiful inside and out and losing her has me in tears. Sending my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends in this difficult time.

My dear Aunt Sharyn....you will be missed greatly.   I struggled sometimes with your care, worrying I didn't do the right thing in your time of need; however, the good times far outweighed those times and that is what gives me peace.   Our Cape Cod trips, our UDF ice cream runs, working on next-to-impossible puzzles together, and your stays at my house when I felt you needed to "break out of the home" were fun times...filled with smiles and laughter.   You are a beautiful soul.   Rest in a peace you so greatly deserve.  Love, Jennifer

I grew up at First Church so I knew Sharyn and Bob, and they were good friends of my parents, Bob and Carolyn Boonstra. They sang in choir together for many years. When my parents moved to Mt Pleasant, Dad and Sharon both participated in the Village Singers and Village Ringers. Whenever I went back to Ohio to visit, I'd try to say hello to Sharyn either at church or knock on her door at Mt. Pleasant. She was always so warm and smiling. She was a sweet lady and a blessing to so many others. She will be missed. I pray comfort and peace for her son, William and all her family.

Although it has been twenty plus years since I have seen my dear cousin I will miss her very much. She was my cousin on her father’s side of the family Laura Hodge was my grandmother AltaBelle Shipley was her mother   She was also the mother of William A Shipley,Elenor Mills,and Eloise Young. I guess she would be considered my first cousin. During Grandma Shirley’s illness we played together on the farm and played games when Uncle Bill came to WestLiberty to help  my mom and Doddie     I was always so glad to see them come as Sharon would play button button with Cindy young and I. It took the whole family to take care of Ghrandma AltaBelle. 
When she finally passed we moved back to Urbana. Seems like we lost touch as families do. Doddie moved to UncleBills hired hands house. I would see Sharon and Richard always at the barn working. They were quite active in 4H and I loved to watch them show their cattle at the county and state fair. Jeannie as we called her was so smart and had a beautiful voice. She sang at Lauramaes wedding. She went to college and we lost track of each other. We grew up and married had our children and I moved way to Texas. Somehow she always remembered Cindy and me on our birthday. 
When my youngest daughter married. Jeanie came to stay a few days for the wedding. I will never forget how she converted a size16 dress into a size6 bridesmaid gown. She was an amazing seamstress. She did visit one time on vacation as she was on her way to see Julia. 
I have not seen her since but she was an amazing woman of God. I know she will be so happy to finally be reunited with  the rest of her family. She will always be remembered

The wonderful memories I have of sharryn edelen is our lunches at the Mexican restaurant.  For years I was fortunate to spend one day a week with the family dinner.  Also she was a big supporter of my artwork.  She was there at almost every show and she was a wonderful client as well.  I am happy that I got to see sharryn about a week before she passed.  It is a memory I treasure now as she always told me she loved me.  I love you too sharryn,  you will be missed by all you have touched.   Peace and harmony....coni

Sharyn was always pleasant to be around. She was a tremendous help and inspiration with the Whiz Kids after school program at First United Methodist  Church in Middletown, Ohio.  She cared about each child's well being as if they were her own.  

At Mount Pleasant Sharyn was, in charge, of the Friday Night Movies. She would always pick one each week that was Age Appropriate for the Old Folks !

Sharyn and I became friends from the time I moved to Mt. Pleasant Place in 2022. We ate at the same meal table. We attended and sat at the same Bingo table each Tuesday night. We attended the Friday night movies she showed each week. She attended the Bible Study I conducted. She was simply a good friend. We missed her when she left us to go to assisted living. May God wrap His loving arms about you all who loved her. He is the Greatest Comforter!
