Betty Jo Stewart Clegg, 87, of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away on July 16, 2011. Betty was born on February 24, 1924 in Paris, Texas to George and Cora Belle (Skinner) Stewart. She was the last surviving child of 12 children.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Clegg; daughter, Shirley Ann Queen, and son, Harold Eugene Clegg; and brothers and sisters, Tommy Stewart, Harrison Stewart, Morgan Stewart, Louie Stewart, Waldo Stewart, George Wayne Stewart, Sarah Dyess, and Dixie Tisdale.
She is survived by her grandson, Nathan Russell; two great-children, Austin Jacob Russell and Lakyn Danielle Russell. Also left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park.
