September 15, 2007 – April 10, 2026
Daniel Esquivel Govea II, lovingly known as “Baby Daniel,” passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 18. Though his time on this earth was brief, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Daniel was an 11th-grade student continuing his education through online classes while also working at Taco Villa.
Daniel had a passion for drawing, cooking, and working out. More than anything, he cherished spending time with his family—especially his sisters—and could often be found laughing, joking, and making memories with them. He had a special bond with his pet, Lucy, whom he cared for deeply, always taking time to go outside and show her love and attention.
A favorite memory of Daniel often shared with a smile, was him attending his friend’s quinceañera—he looked his absolute best that night, a moment that will never be forgotten by those who saw him. He also treasured his friendship with his best friend, Mando Pantoja Gutierrez. Their first hangout at the mall in January of last year remained a special memory, especially when Daniel bought them stuffed animals.
Daniel attended Beit-HaDerekh, where he continued to grow in his faith and community.
He is survived by his loving parents, Sophia Conception Marmolejo and Daniel Esquivel Govea; his siblings, Carlos L. Alvarado, Julian T. Marmolejo, Nathaniel L. Govea, Abigail A. Marmolejo, and Mariah A. Marmolejo, and Paul Angel Govea; and his aunts and uncles, Troy Marmolejo, Santana Marmolejo, Ricky Ramirez, Jaime Govea, Sebastian Ramirez, Valerie Torres, Cristal Ramirez, Megan Torres, Albert Ramirez, Robert Govea, Connie Ramirez, Brigit Govea, Sean Torres, Josh Torres, Cynthia Ramirez, and Anna Ramirez. He also leaves behind many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Daniel was preceded in death by his uncle, Michael Angel Govea, and his brother-in-law, Jerimiah Joel Rincon.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Daniel E. Govea, Carlos Alvarado, Mando Pantoja Gutierrez, Julian Marmolejo, Ryan Dominguez, Javier Govea, Ricky Ramirez, Albert Ramirez, Nickolos Morelion Jr., Nathaniel Govea, Paul Angel Govea, Jerimiah Joel Rincon, Jerry Ornelas, Dominick Hernandez, and Robert Govea.
