Granny Sue was born in Vernon, Texas to the late Junita and Guy McKay on October 2, 1942. She married the love of her life Wilburn Hendry on July 2, 1958, they were married for 52 years. She worked for Midland Independent School district for 25 years.
Granny Sue is preceded in death by her husband Wilburn and son James Lee Hendry. Granny Sue is survived by son Kevin Hendry, wife Socorro, daughter Darla Delozier, husband Claude, daughter Dana Hendry, daughter Janet Driver, husband Chris, daughter-in-law Kyan Hendry, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren, both by love and some just by love.
A visitation for Delorise will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland, Texas 79701. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 31, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cotton Flat Baptist Church, 6409 TX-349, Midland, Texas 79706. A burial will occur Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, Texas.
