

Services are set for Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Fairmont Park Church of Christ with Don Mitchell and Dane Boyles officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born in 1923 in Parker County, Texas. She grew up near Azle, TX. She married Truman Blair in Fort Worth on July 28, 1939. They were married 53 years. During World War" while her husband served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater, she worked in Fort Worth at several banks. After moving to Midland in 1952, she became an employee of the former Midland National Bank and First City National Bank for 26 years before taking early retirement.
The most important role of her life was being an Elder's wife. She served by Truman's side for 32 years helping him accomplish his responsibilities as an Elder at the former Fort Worth & Jax Streets Church of Christ and the Fairmont Park Church of Christ. They were both charter members of
both churches.
She served on the board of Midland Palette Club for three years and as a director of Paint Daubers Guild. She was also a member of the Lubbock Christian University Associates. She enjoyed quilting, oil painting, reading, and crafts.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Truman Blair in 1992 and her son, Roy Blair in 2012; her parents Oda & Stella Rose; three brothers, Gene, Barto, & Horace, and one sister Frances Winnett.
Survivors include daughter, Jean Stubbs and husband Fred, daughter-in- law Dorothy P. Blair, three grandchildren, Tim Blair and wife Stephanie of Midland, Scott Stubbs and wife Pam of Arlington, TX, and Denise Gilbert and husband Dock of Temple, TX., thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sister- in-laws, Dolores Flatt of Abilene, TX, Dora Rose of Decatur, TX and Veronia Rose of Azle, TX, and one brother-in-law, Raymond Armstrong of Arlington, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Brumley, Smokie Thorp, Kyle Peck, Pat Darden, Jimmie Carlile, and Bryan Mason.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Crozier, Wayne Cornett, Jack Estes, Ken Griffin, Leonard Ivanhoe, Clay Mims, Wade Mitchell, Jay Reynolds, Charles Schoolcraft, Tommy Simpson, and Gerald Stockstill.
