Euna Fay Rasure, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home in Midland, Texas on April 22, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. Euna Fay was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Wes and Mollie Cawthron on July 25th, 1920. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1937. She was married to Frank Rasure for 30 years and together they raised three children.
Euna Fay worked for Nickel Chrysler Plymouth for a number of years before going to work for the Midland County Tax Office. She retired from the Tax Office in 1992 after 18 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church and attended services as long as she was able.
She loved trips to Ruidoso, working crossword puzzles, feeding her birds and playing Scrabble. She loved the “old” Dallas Cowboys, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Texas Rangers. More than anything she was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Grandma went to dance recitals, volleyball games, baseball games and every event that involved her kids and grandkids. Her cooking skills were unmatched, and her meals will be missed by both family and friends. We will miss her quick wit, silly giggle, and gentle smile that always meant things were going to be okay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Loys Cawthron, her son, John Rasure, and daughter, Becky Rasure Bozich. She is survived by her son Don Rasure and his wife Jodie of Midland Texas; son-in-law Mark Bozich of Jenks, Oklahoma; her grandchildren Kelsie and Korey Rasure of Midland, and Katherine Bozich of Jenks.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Bob, Fannie, and Irene of Nurses Unlimited for their kindness and support through the years. Irene had a special bond with Grandma, and was like a member of the family. Our love and sincerest gratitude goes to Grandma’s wonderful neighbors, Carol Wayne and Cheri Holtzclaw.
Services will be held at 10:00 on May 17th at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Billy Raies officiating.
Grandma was the originator of signing off our notes with the letters WLY (We Love You), and for one last time we would like to sign off to her with our thanks for raising us all in the way she did, and for always being there for us in every way. We were blessed to have you and WLY very, very much.
