Gwendolyn Dodson, of Midland, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010. She was born October 7, 1924 in Midland, Texas to Franklin and Johnnie Ward. Gwendolyn met and married Charles W. Dodson, Jr. They owned and operated Charlie’s Trailer Park, and later owned Dodson’s Fun & Party Shop, both here in Midland. Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Dodson, Jr. She is survived by brothers, Franklin D. Ward Jr. of Brownwood, TX; Pearl A. Ward and wife Lorene of Granbury, TX; John G. Ward and wife Charlotte of Odessa, TX; caregiver, Krystal Lee; Many friends and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home Tuesday, October 19, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Graveside services have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M.
