

Jeanne Parum Bird of Midland, Texas passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the age of 86. She was born in Alvarado, TX on July 22, 1926 and graduated high school in Tiller, Arkansas as Valedictorian of her class. She attended college at St. Louis Business College and Midland College. Her career involved secretarial and administrative positions within the retail and oil industries. Jeanne was very active in breeding and raising poodles and volunteered her time with the Midland Women’s Club and as president of the Auxiliary to the Postal Workers Union. As a mother, she worked as a Girl Scout leader and also helped with Cub Scout meetings. Jeanne and her 1st husband Peter met post WWII and had 4 children. They lived in California, Chicago, and Texas. After his death, Jeanne moved to Texas and later remarried. She and her husband led an active life with the children, friends, and traveling.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her husbands, Peter Muniz and Raymond Bird, and 1 grandson, Chuck Goodrich Stuke.
She is survived by her daughters Ann Davenport and Husband Joe of Yellville, AR, Nancy Rychlic of Midland, Tx, Patty Smith of Coppell, TX, and son Peter Bird of Kingsland, TX, stepsons Carl Bird and Jerry Bird and Wife Sharon all of Limestone, Maine, 7 granddaughters, a grandson, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her loving pet Sandy.
Rosary will be Monday, September 24, 2012, 7:00 P.M. at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 3:00 P.M. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.
