Jose worked as a bricklayer mason, which he started in El Paso, Texas and made his way to Odessa/ Midland, Texas. He married the love of his life Dora Sanchez, their song was “Solamente Una Vez”. They were married for sixty-two years and had seven children.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio Rodriguez and Maria T. Alonso.
Jose is survived by his wife, Dora Rodriguez; five sons, Jose Luis and wife Laura, Lucio and wife Olga, Arturo and wife Army, Jorge and wife Elsa, and Armando; two daughters, Anna and husband Felix, Josie and husband Frank; in-laws, Laura; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Shae, Paula and husband Ralph, Rebecca and ex-husband Jerry, Danielle and husband Moses, April and husband Joe, David, Vivian, Adam, Amanda, Bobby, Jean, Ryan, Frankie, Aaron, and Julian; great grandchildren, Jaycee, Erin, Emma, Ralphie, Solomon, Olivia, Max, Aiden, Sebastian, and Ian; as well as other friends and family in Odessa, Texas.
