

Kala was born September 12, 1958 in Stephenville, Texas to Corinne Watkins Bromley and Vernon Weldon Bromley, grew up and graduated school in McCamey, Texas. She married James Wesley Slover on August 7, 1982 in Midland. She spent her working career in the insurance business with Bob Newton Ins. Agency, (Farmers Agent). She was also a member of Insurance Women of Midland, highly involved with Lee High School Band as a sponsor and member of St Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Kala was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and in-laws. She is survived by her husband, James Wesley Slover, Midland; two sons, SGT Clayton Wesley and wife Heather Marie Slover of Fort Campbell, Kentucky (US Army) , 1st Lt Jason Karl Slover of Cheyenne, Wyoming, (US Air Force); one grandson, Jeremiah Wesley Slover, Fort Campbell Kentucky; two brothers and one sister, Don and wife Jayne Bromley of Midland, Kyle and wife Brenda Bromley of Houston and Tana and Robert Robertson of McCamey; two sister-in-laws and one brother-in-law Jane Slover Savell of Brownwood, Betty and husband Mana Ratanasavetavadhana, of Fort Worth, George Slover and wife Cea, of Sulphur, Lousiana and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Robert Robertson III, Heath Bromley, Michael Ratanasavetavadhana, Tim Savell, Samuel Slover, Daniel Slover, Bob Newton, and Kevin Newton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, and to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4501 Thomason Dr., Midland, Texas 79703.
