

Madora was born August 3, 1922 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Hunter and Lillie Dell Hughes. She graduated from Little Rock High School and attended Arkansas State College on a music scholarship.
Madora was a member of First Baptist Church of Midland. She loved her family, church and many friends. She was a member of The Red Hat Society, loved to knit, read, sew, paint, and travel and most of all, talk and tell stories, Anyway.....
Her daughter Judy Hazeslip joined her in heaven a few days after her death.
She is survived by her childen: Sharon Maxwell Freeman of Boca Raton, FL, Freddy Haltom of Midland, TX. Grandchildren: Traci Freemano of Macon, GA, Shannon Gagnon of Colorado Springs, CO, Kyle Freeman of Lake Worth, FL, Lea Ann McVay of Midland, TX, and Ryan Haltom of McCamey, TX. Great grandchildren: Amanda Gagnon, Colorado Springs, CO, Alyssa Gagnon, Colorado Springs, CO, Corban McVay, Midland, Sierra Daniels and Haley Freeman, Lake Worth, FL. Two Brothers: Hunter Hughes, Arlington, TX. and Jimmy Hughes, Arlington, TX.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church Midland, TX, March 16th at 10a.m. A reception will be held immediately afterward.

The family wishes to express an enormous thanks to the many dedicated doctors and nurses, caregivers and friends that helped mom and all of us through this journey of trials. Without a doubt, Madora's faith and courage inspired us all to look forward to meeting her Jesus, face to face, just as she did when she left behind this mortal body and put on a glorious one with no more tears and no more pain. Madora is now gone from us for a short while but we look forward to a wonderful reunion on another glad morning.
