Norma Faye (Martin) Phillips, 87, of Midland, our beloved mother peacefully passed on to Heaven at 4:00am on Monday, March 19, 2012. She was born Norma Faye Martin to Richard and Martha (Myers) Martin on July 26, 1924 in Gainesville, Texas.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, T. J. Phillips, one son, Larry Thomas Phillips, one grandson, Branum Welch, four brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia and husband, Don Ormand of Midland, TX; daughter, Alethea and husband, Larry Dyer of League City, TX; sister-in-law, Nell Martin of McMinnville, TN; four grandchildren, Mark Kelly of Albuquerque, NM; Jessica Carrasco of Odessa, TX; Brad Welch of Midland, TX; and Jenna Dyer of League City, TX. Also left to cherish her memory are her five great-grandchildren, Michael Ledbetter, Autumn and Amber Carrasco, and Hayden and Brynna Welch.
Family will welcome friends at Ellis Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Graveside services are planned for Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Park at 3:00pm.
