Pearl Wall Thompson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 29th, 2021. Pearl was born in Sonora, Texas on July 29, 1932 to Viola Elizabeth and Thomas Jefferson Wall. Pearl attended Sonora High School and soon after met and married the love of her life, J.L. "Red" Thompson on June 7, 1950. Pearl and Red welcomed 4 children in their marriage. They lived in Sonora, Wakeeney, Kansas and settled in Midland, Texas. Pearl was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling with Red on his work trips to Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Michigan, California, Colorado and Las Vegas. In Vegas, Pearl loved to play the slots, Keno and Bingo. She was a thrifty person and was always on the "hunt" for a good deal. Of all the names she was called, Mymaw was by far her favorite. She loved spending time with her 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She loved a good game of Scrabble, the Cubs, McDonalds and Jesus. She will be sorely missed by those that knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son-in-law, John Pennington and numerous brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Tommy Thompson (Cindy) of Midland; daughter Jeanette Pennington, of Abilene; daughter, Connie Scharbauer of Round Rock; son, Hal Thompson (Reda Reddell) of Midland. Grandchildren: Doug Stewart (Heather); Jessica Harkins (Jase); Sarah Farley (Chad); Andrew Pennington; Allen Pennington (Sarah); Christen Steen(Steven); Meghan Scharbauer; John Scharbauer (Amy); Audra Hopper(Jamie); Price Thompson (Tianna); Great Grandchildren: Sutton, Sidney, Cash, Jackson, John, Grace, Callie, Kensie, Pearl, Archie, Stone, Connlly,Mabry, Tesher, Holland, Saylor, James, Emma, Ethan, Noah and Posie. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Cimarron Place. They treated Miss Pearl with love, respect and dignity. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry or a charity of your choice. Pallbearers are Jase Harkins, Allen Pennington, Chad Farley, Steven Steen, John Scharbauer, Jamie Hopper and Price Thompson.

Pearl was a wonderful Aunt. She always welcomed our family with open arms and a warm smile. I greatly enjoyed listening to her talk about her family, baseball games and stories about the past. We send our prayers to her precious family.
