

Shirley Fletcher Stiles, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 in Midland, Texas. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at First Christian Church, 1301 W. Louisiana Avenue. Condolences may be made at: www.ellisfunerals.com.
Shirley was born in Kaplan, Louisiana to Luther Lawrence Fletcher and Maude Poche Fletcher on July 11, 1927. She was a registered nurse in New Orleans, Louisiana. Shirley married Loren Harvin Stiles on September 1, 1951 and moved to Midland, Texas shortly after their wedding. She had a passion for travel that led her and Loren to travel extensively throughout the world. Active in the First Christian Church since moving to Midland, Shirley taught Sunday school for over 30 years. She will be missed by her family and friends for her smile as well as her care and concern for others.
Shirley was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Loren; daughter, Ginger Westbrook and grandchildren, Christopher and Katherine; son, Robert Stiles and wife, Michelle and granddaughters, Sarah and Caroline; son, David Stiles and wife, Laurie and grandchildren, Kailee and Brandon; sister, Madge Kite; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to thank Shirley’s caregivers who provided such support during the last few months.
