Soledad Pillado Garcia, 93, left us peacefully on March 31, 2018, with her family by her side in Midland, Texas. She was born in Monahans, Texas on March 10, 1925, to Brigida Holguin and Eleuterio Pillado.
Soledad is survived by her children; Elvira Madrid, Manuel Garcia, Silvia Garcia, Jesus Garcia II, Luz Elena Garcia, Ilda Diab, Martin Garcia and Jorge Garcia; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Jesus Garcia; her son, Arturo Garcia; and her grandson Arturito Garcia.
Soledad, or as her grandchildren would always call her, ‘Mama Chole’, is loved by so many and will be greatly missed for her unconditional love and sensitivity to her loved one’s needs. She will always be remembered for the wonderful blessings that she would give her family to remind them that the Lord was always by their side. God has her in his keeping. We will forever have her in our hearts.
A rosary will be held at 7pm on Wednesday April 4, at Ellis Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 2pm on Thursday April 5, at San Miguel Church. Burial will follow at Panteon Municipal el Ultimo Refugio at Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
